Peter Bellamy's music and song runs through the history of Free Reed like a seam of gold: Peter played on Free Reed’s 'The Tale of Ale' LP (now on CD as FRRR04) and in late 1977 created his epic ballad opera 'The Transports', (a "Folk LP of the Year").  Free Reed here present a tribute to Peter’s memory, using key recordings from his Free Reed LPs, and with rare and unavailable tracks from the labels for whom he worked during his long career.  This stunning selection of 17 grand ballads is a fitting celebration of his genius.  The Coppers and The Watersons guest.
