Ewan MacColl has long been acknowledged as one of the prime architects of the British Folk Revival. The 20 tracks on this compilation are drawn from his recordings for the Topic Records label from the late 1960's onwards, 13 with Peggy Seeger on guitar or banjo accompaniment and two with concertina player Alf Edwards.
